Good physio shouldn't depend on where you live. Whether you're in the middle of nowhere or just can't face another waiting room, I've got you. No miracle promises, no recycled generic advice. Just 18 years of experience and a plan that actually makes sense for your situation.
Hamish Vickerman
B PHTY, B EXSc ยท 18 yrs experienceFair question. I'd be skeptical too. Here's what the research says (spoiler: it works).
Multiple high-quality reviews now back telehealth physio. A 2024 systematic review in the Journal of Physiotherapy found satisfaction virtually identical to in-person care across 12 RCTs, and adherence to exercise programs was actually higher in the telehealth group. A 2023 review in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health found comparable outcomes for musculoskeletal conditions, and a 2025 network meta-analysis in the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy ranked video-based physio among the most effective delivery modes for chronic musculoskeletal pain. At this point the evidence is pretty hard to argue with.
It's great for a lot of people. But not everyone. Here's an honest breakdown so you're not wasting your money or my time.
I'm Hamish. I'm a physio with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Exercise Science, and I've been doing this for 18 years. I work with everyone from people who just want to walk to the letterbox without wincing, through to professional athletes who get paid a lot of money to be in good shape.
I've always been sporty, which helps. High-level rugby, tennis, a few marathons, a triathlon or two. I've had my share of injuries so I actually understand what it's like to be on the other side of the table. I've also worked as physio for 1st grade rugby, AFL and soccer teams, which is as chaotic as it sounds.
Outside the clinic I'm a dad to two young girls, and I fit in golf, running and tennis whenever life allows. I know what it means to want to stay active and what it feels like when your body gets in the way of that.
I started Fasciitis Fighter because I kept watching patients get handed the same useless advice over and over. The products are now used by 45,000+ people and trusted by NBA, NFL, NRL and AFL organisations. Which is wild, honestly. But the best thing I can do for you is still just sit down, listen properly, and build a treatment plan that actually fits your situation.
These online consults exist because good physio shouldn't be a postcode lottery. If you want a straight answer and a proper plan, book in. I'll be straight with you even if it's not what you were hoping to hear.
And while foot pain is a serious matter, I try to bring a bit of lightness to the conversation. I take your condition seriously without making the whole thing feel heavy and clinical. Expect straight talk, the occasional laugh, and someone who genuinely enjoys the work.
Foot and heel pain takes time and the right approach. Here is what you will actually get from a consult.
The research around foot and heel pain has moved considerably. What was standard advice ten years ago is often no longer supported by the evidence. I keep up with that, and apply it directly to what I recommend. If something works, I'll tell you. If it doesn't, I'll tell you that too.
Straightforward video call sessions. No bundles, no subscriptions, no upselling you things you don't need. Pick what fits and book it.

Pick your consult, choose a time and pay online. No phone calls, no waiting for someone to call you back, no back and forth.
You'll get a short form after booking. Fill it in so we're not spending the first 15 minutes of the call going over your life history. I'll come prepared.
We jump on a video call. I assess, ask a bunch of questions and give you my honest take. No waffle, no "it could be a few things." You'll leave knowing what's going on.
Everything we covered, written up clearly and sent to you. No trying to remember what I said while you were furiously nodding along. It's all there in black and white.
After 18 years I've got a pretty firm view on what good physio looks like. And it doesn't involve telling people what they want to hear just to keep them happy.
Nope. Book directly, no GP referral needed. These are private consultations so Medicare rebates don't apply, but many private health funds do cover telehealth physio.
You'll get a link after booking. Click it, and there I am. Works on any phone, tablet or laptop. No app downloads, no tech headaches.
Only for the Rehab Program consult. The Initial Consultation is open to anyone with foot, heel or lower limb pain. Fasciitis Fighter product or not.
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged in full. Life happens, just give me a heads up.
For most musculoskeletal conditions, yes. Research consistently shows online physio produces similar outcomes to in-person for assessment, exercise prescription and education. The one thing I can't do remotely is hands-on treatment, and I'll be honest about when that matters.
Hands-on treatment is one tool, and for foot and heel conditions it's rarely the main event. The evidence for plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinopathy points strongly to loading-based rehab and education. Most people get better without anyone touching them.
Within 24 hours you'll get a written summary covering your assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan and exercises. Yours to keep, refer back to, or show your other physio who told you to just rest it.
Depends on your fund and level of cover. Many do cover telehealth physio. Worth a quick call to your insurer before booking. I'll give you a receipt either way.
Fasciitis Fighter makes rehab products designed specifically for foot and heel pain. Used by 45,000+ people and trusted by pro sporting organisations. Built because the right tool actually matters.
